Our sister charity, the Portal Trust, is looking for a new Communications Officer. As Portal Trust staff also support the Aldgate & Allhallows Foundation, this will be an important hire for us too, and we’re keen to encourage applications from those with the relevant skills and a commitment to the cause of education in London.
The post is a great opportunity to build on the amazing work that’s been happening over the last couple of years to boost the Communications capacity of these two influential London education charities.
The new Communications Officer will join a small, dynamic and friendly team. They will develop the online profile and engagement of the Foundation and the Portal Trust, but of equal importance will be developing relationships and networks on the ground, in the projects and communities we support.

This is a full time role, based in Aldgate with hybrid working, with a starting salary in the £34-38K range. It comes with a generous training and development allowance, 10% employer pension contributions, and a supportive, mission-driven working culture.
Applications are welcomed from people with characteristics which are under-represented in the Charity Sector, including people from working class backgrounds, people with Black, Asian, Mixed or other diverse heritage, people with disabilities, and members of LGBTQ+ communities.
The full Job Description and application details can be accessed here, and the Trust’s recruitment partner would love to hear from you if you have any questions about the role.
