On Thursday 15th June 2023 we were delighted to attend the official opening of the Ragged School Museum, alongside the Regent’s Canal in east London.
Celebrating the evening we heard from the Museum’s CEO, Erica Davies and the 12th Earl of Shaftsbury who spoke of the efforts to refurbish the site into what we see today. The museum has several gallery areas, a reconstructed Victorian Classroom and a Victorian East End Kitchen displaying its own collection of historical objects.
In 2020, the Foundation awarded the Museum £120,000 and is proud to be a supporter of what is a remarkable glimpse into the history of education and the life of young people in Victorian London.
